The Challenge

A jewelry wholesaler was managing orders primarily through phone calls, emails, and physical trade shows. This process was slow, prone to errors, and limited their ability to scale. They needed a digital platform that could handle complex B2B requirements like tiered pricing, minimum order quantities, and customer-specific catalogs.

The Solution

We developed a comprehensive B2B e-commerce platform. Unlike standard B2C shops, this system requires user verification before viewing prices and enables bulk ordering of variations (e.g., ring sizes) with a streamlined interface.

Technical Highlights

Performance was paramount given the thousands of SKUs. We implemented Redis caching for product data and utilized Next.js incremental static regeneration (ISR) to keep the catalog fast while ensuring prices are always up-to-date. Secure authentication and role-based access control were implemented using Supabase Auth.

Recognizing that many retailers browse catalogs on the go or at trade shows, the entire interface was optimized for touch interaction, ensuring a seamless ordering experience on tablets and smartphones.

Dynamic Theming & Marketing

To drive engagement, the platform features a highly flexible theming engine. It automatically adapts usage based on the season—deploying distinct visual themes for Christmas, Easter, Summer, and Black Friday. This is paired with a robust marketing suite supporting promo codes and automated email notifications.
